This year we will have 2 fundraisers.  It is very important for all families to participate to help our program earn money to go toward team expenses. Please see details below, and if you have any further questions please contact Leah Narro.
 

Run-A-Thon (Friday, Feb 10 - Saturday, Feb 11)

  • The Run-A-Thon will be held from 4:30pm Friday, Feb 10 to 4:30pm Saturday, Feb 11. Depending on weather, it will start on the track or in the cafeteria, then move to the gym around 9:30pm after the basketball games.  
     
  • Dinner for all athletes will be at 6:00 pm Friday in the cafeteria. Parents who volunteered to bring food can drop it off after school.
     
  • Each athlete is required to raise $100 (ask neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. to make a donation). Donors can give cash or write a check payable to AHS Track. Money will be collected at practice on Tuesday, February 7th.  If you did not receive a Run-A-Thon, please contact Leah Narro.
     
  • Raising money through the Run-A-Thon makes it possible for you to attend the meet in Florida (it will be the Coaches' decision who attends, but if you don't raise the money, you won't get the opportunity).
     
  • Sign-up will be at practice Monday, January 30th. Each athlete will run around 15-30 minutes each. Seniors will get to pick their time slots first, then Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen. So Freshmen will probably be running late at night and you will need to plan on spending the night in the gym with your coaches, teammates and chaperones or have your parents bring you for your timeslot.
 

 

Mattress Fundraiser (Saturday, February 11)

  • New this year. Many schools have made significant money with this fundraiser!
     
  • Will be held Feb 11-12 from 10am-5pm in the cafeteria. Track is responsible for Saturday & Girls Soccer for Sunday. We will have a work schedule for athletes.
     
  • The mattress manufacturers are Restonic and Southerland. They have been in business for a long time, and have solid reputations. One has had 7 Consumer Reports 'Best Pick' Awards.  Google them and check out their reviews!
     
  • These quality mattresses are sold for 30-60% less than retail because we are doing their advertising (no Superbowl ads to pay for!). They have full factory warranties.
     
  • Mattresses are manufactured after the order, and ready in 10-14 days. Delivery available for $50. Floor models will be displayed during the sale.
     
  • If someone is in the market for a mattress, encourage them to come to our fundraiser! Handout our RED flyers as much as possible so track will get credit.  Also download the email_facbook_flyer to share with friends and family.
     
  • If we get the word out, we can raise enough for new uniforms.

 

Optional Fundraising at Verizon

There is another optional fundraiser.  We know that fees are expensive, and some parents may want the chance to earn some of the fees back. AHS has a contract with Verizon Amphitheater where an athlete's parents can work concessions and use the money to pay for fees.
